Hawaii Real Estate License - Education Requirements

Sales License

Be at least 18 years old>/li>
Be a citizen or resident alien of the US
Complete a 45 hour, state approved prelicense course
Pass a proctored final exam (grade of 70% required to pass)
Pass the state exam (grade of 70% required to pass)

Broker's License

Be at least 18 years old
Be a citizen or resident alien of the US
Must have at least three years of experience as a licensed salesperson within the past five years
Complete an 80 hour, state approved prelicense course
Pass a proctored final exam (grade of 70% required to pass)
Pass the state exam (grade of 75% required to pass)

Continuing Education

Every two years a total of ten (10 ) clock hours of continuing education

Mandatory Core Course - 4 hours (To change each license biennium)
Remaining six hours can be from general or prescribed courses

Renewals

License renewal date is November 30th of each even-numbered year
The expiration date for all real estate licenses is December 31st of each even-numbered year
