Arizona Real Estate License - Education Requirements
Sales License
90 live classroom hours of education and successful passage of school and state exam.
Real Estate Principles AKA RE Principles I
Real Estate Practices AKA RE Principles II
All new salespersons must take a six-hour continuing education course in Contract Law and Contract Writing before they may activate their license. This course can be taken through distance learning.
Broker’s License
90 live classroom hours. Any two of the following four courses can be taken to satisfy the 90 hour requirement:
Real Estate Law
Real Estate Finance
Real Estate Appraisal
Real Estate Office Management
Must have 3 years of licensed sales experience within the past 5 years
Continuing Education
Every 2 years, a total of 24 clock hours of continuing education
In the first 24 months, 24 hours must be completed. In the second 24 months, an additional 24 hours must be completed.
Of the 24 hours required for each 24 month period, 3 hours of credit must be obtained in each of the following 6 areas:
Agency Law
Contract Law
Commissioner’s Standards
Real Estate Legal Issues
Fair Housing
Disclosure
The additional 6 hours can be taken from any category or "general" courses
Maximum of 9 hours credit per day
Renewals
All licensees renew every 4 years from the date of intial licensure
